The successful candidate should ideally be able to demonstrate team leader or supervisory expertise in a busy bar/ waiting-on environment; a knowledge which is likely to have been acquired within a similar position in the hospitality industry.

The successful candidates will be required to:
- Work alongside the Duty Managers to take responsibility for the day to day operation of The HIVE in the absence of the Manager where appropriate.
- Assist the Management team with the operational objectives of the business and ensure tight controls on costs are achieved in line with the P&L.
- Ensure that all company H & S and Food Safety objectives and standards are achieved and that any faults are raised directly with the Manager or the H & S advisor.
- Focus on “service” standards throughout the operation, and in conjunction with the Management team; continue to improve the overall professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with all areas of the overall business in order to facilitate high standards across Ribby Hall Village.
- Ensure that The HIVE operates to its maximum potential.
Our perfect match will possess the following essential attributes:
- Previous experience in a hospitality setting of a similar standard.
- An NVQ in hospitality would be ideal.
- Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills

- Have full understanding of the 14 main allergens and be competent in advising guests
- Comply with licensing objectives
- Ability to oversee a team of up to 20 staff at any one time
- Be able to assist with issues within the venues arcade area
- Open/close a venue that’s operating hours are from 9am-1am 365 days a year.
- Be adaptable to changes in rotas to meet the needs of the business
- Be able to deal with a diverse range of clientele in a high pace environment.
Due to licensing laws applicants must be 18 years of age or above.
Availability:
The position is full time; the normal hours of work are 45 hours per week, over 5 days in a department that operates 7 days a week.
Full flexibility to work weekends and evenings is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business
